The Quartzsite Library Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to support the Quartzsite Library.

BookSale1The Purpose of the Library Friends shall be to support the educational and literary work of the Quartzsite Public Library by cultivating friendly relations with the citizens of the Quartzsite community, by promoting a general knowledge of and interest in the library, by finding opportunities to serve the library, by fostering the development of cultural programs centered around the library, by providing financial support in areas not included in the regular library budget, by helping the library to improve and enrich its resources by donations of books, other publications, works of art, music recordings, and other materials.

  • Membership is $5.00 for an individual
  • $10.00 for a family
  • $25.00 for library patron
  • $100.00 for lifetime membership
  • $500.00 for a Gold membership
  • $1,000.00 for a Platinum membership

The Friends' membership has fundraisers throughout the year, if you are intersted in helping, please contact the library.

The Quartzsite Library Friends are dedicated to expanding our overcrowded library facility.  Your support and contributions toward this cause are appreciated.

Meeting Schedule

The Friends meet the second Monday of the month at 5 p.m. at the library. 
During December, January and February, the Friends' Meetings are dark.

Quartzsite Library Funding

The Quartzsite Library obtains its funding from several sources.The main source is the Town of Quartzsite.  Other important sources of funding are grants from the Arizona Community Foundation that help support computer services and upgrades. Community Development Block Grants have built our library and installed our computer system for file and collection management, as well as Internet access. Grants from the Arizona Humanities Council have provided Community Book Discussions and Community Speakers Program. Donations from the Quartzsite Improvement Association have provided us with books and furniture. The Libri Foundation has also given children's books.The Quartzsite Library Friends Inc, help us in many ways on a monthly basis.The Quartzsite Rotary Club and the GFWC Women's Club of Quartzsite have contributed annually.  And lastly, the Citizens of Quartzsite and its visitors are very generous to this library.
